Homegrown hip hop bands are a new phenomenon in Bangalore, India. Low Rhyderz is the first hip hop band in the city that combines elements of Indian beats with hip hop rhythms to create a music that is unique. This photograph was taken when they were fooling around in a car mechanic shop. Obviously, the mechanic found the entire scene "interesting."

Long live music!

Love these! Thanks for sharing.
The top photo I will have to think about to get a close match.

All the best,
Sita-ji
Des Rangeela Rangeela Des mera rangeela....
Without any doubt.
And for the second one. The theme of Taal. [the drum beats one]
First pic: Haay re Haay ye tere haath mein mera haath, naye jazbaat, meri jaan Balle Balle :D
Second pic: Hmm dunno, something by Sivamani?
The first picture reminds me of "Ghar Aaja Pardesi" from DDLJ--or there's a scene in "Aisa Desh Hai Mera" from Veer-Zaara that's similar too. :-)
The second is unique in my experience! I'll have to look up others' recommendations.
Thank you all! Yash-Raj would have to make it multiple times! :)
Sita-ji: What a fun song that is from Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi! Ideal in this case. Glad you liked the pictures.
Darshit: Great timing too, with Des Rangeela! Beats from Taal?! Interesting...
Pitu: Excuse my ignorance and laziness, but could you please tell us more about 'Sivamani'? Links or songs you like, perhaps?
Ajnabi: I love 'Aisa Des Hai Mera' from Veer Zaara. I rather like the movie too!
Thanks again, everyone.
Nice idea. :)
First one would be: holi ke din dil khil jaate hai rangon mein rang mil jaate hai...
Second one: aamdani atthani kharcha rupaiya, nateeja than than gopaal...
Sweet picks, thanks Kanan! 'Aamdani atthani kharcha rupaiya' especially, imagine hopping to a remix! And imagine the music video having 3 bahuraanis too! :D
tbf, I will request you to tell us your choices for the pictures. :-)
All the patriotic Indian songs come to mind for the first picture
But for the second one definately Aish Karle from Jashnn :)
Oh and by the way I think you're awesome!
For the first one, Purva suhani aayi re from Purab Aur Pashchim - its the first song I remember seeing "keekli" (what those two girls are doing) in, so its always been THE keekli song for me.
The second one has to be Pappu cant dance saala! :-)
Arjavi: Thanks! There are so many...I'll go with the Rang De Basanti title song and Tapke Masti from London Dreams for the first one. It's nice to see the village belles in a cool hip hop setting in the song from London Dreams, one of the many things I enjoyed in the film. They're performing the exact steps in some bits, too.
As for the second, I'll have to go with Bollyviewer's choice. Oh, and definitely this magnificent tune from Half Ticket, setting notwithstanding. :)
Aishwarya: Aww, thank you for your kind words! :) Have you seen Jashnn by the way? I haven't, but if I ever consider, it would be because of the music.
Bollyviewer: Thanks so much for the link to that wonderful video. 'Keekli' (and thanks for adding to vocabulary here, too) is an art in its own right, isn't it? And 'Pappu Can't Dance' would sound ultra-cool with those instruments! :D
Cheers.
1. Des Rangila from Fanaa
2. Hey Kaala Bandar from Delhi-6
For picture one,
Maar udaari ni ghuggiye maar udaari from Pinjar movie.
For Picture 2,
Laffangey Parindey title track.
