The
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008) DVD has been released! Aamir had sought feedback via his blog on a song that was not included in the theatrical release (
Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai by
Runa Rizvi), and the most popular suggestion that it be included among the extras seems to have been followed. The two-disc set also includes deleted scenes, making of, promos and production stills.
Now, if only Mr. Slow Motion* could release the
Taare Zameen Par (2007) DVD in the U.S. before year end...

Yay! Thanks for the heads-up...I'm going to order my copy right away! :D
This makes me irritated! TZP is STILL not out, and I honeslty think it wont be out before January (:S) and Jaane Tu is done already!!! argh. and double argh :)
Filmi Girl: Yay! It's going to be under my Christmas tree for sure...for me, by me :)
Shweta: I feel your dard, my friend. Last we heard of TZP was the deal with it being dubbed in English for the Disney DVD, but seriously, it's taken too long no matter how one looks at it :(
Thank so much! I've been wondering too the other day!!
Day b4 ystrday i got this on tseries.com.
But even there, they din't mentiond special features. Thanx 4 giving info, i m buying it this weekend.
Is TZP still not released in US? You have a lot of patience, dude.
Nicki: It's good to see this out sooner than most Aamir Khan Productions films. I reckon Abbas Tyrewala has something to do with that!
Darshit: It must be so cool to walk into a store and pick up a DVD a couple of days after its release! The stores in my area (actually, there's only one, LOL) take a while, so I usually end up ordering online. I miss that candy store feeling...but we have Best Buy for that :) Have fun with that DVD!
Saurabh: TZP is still not released in the US, this is correct. But dude, I totally don't have the patience, LOL...I got my T-Series copy from India :) But TZP is a kind of movie I'll be gifting to a bunch of friends, and most standard DVD players do not play the region-encoded DVDs, which is what the TZP DVD in India is :'(
Cheers!
I'm so excited this is finally out! I missed it in the theaters..:( But will be grabbing my DVD asap!
Hey there Nida: Go for it! It's a fun-filled love story and entertainer at its core (the combination is ideal for debut films), and I doubt one can go wrong with the ways in which these two elements have been portrayed. Would love to hear your take! Thanks for stopping by.
I'm so stinking excited about this--Aamir-ji heard my plea! ;-) If I don't get it for Christmas I'm definitely using my Christmas $$$ to buy a copy. LOL
LOL, Ajnabi, I swear when I discovered it was released, one of the first persons I thought about was you, because, I think you'd shared earlier that you were prepared to wait another five years for it, ROTFL. It's great this was released, its timeliness caught me by [pleasant] surprise, I'll admit. Hope you enjoy it!
