Salman Khan at the 10 Ka Dum blog

Saw one of Aamir Khan's first films this past weekend (hope to review it soon), in which he co-starred with Juhi Chawla. He has paired with Juhi more than with any other actress. No, it was not Qayaamat Se Qayaamat Tak (QSQT - 1988). While QSQT was a fantastic film, I have no hesitation in admitting despite being a bigger fan of Aamir Khan, that I liked Salman Khan's film around that time -- Maine Pyaar Kiya (1989) -- more.

Just added Salman Khan's blog -- the official 10 Ka Dum blog (and image source) -- to my blog roll. Spent some time recently reading his works, and he is a good story-teller with some good stories. His blogging efforts seem to have gone somewhat less noticed (relatively speaking), much like his positive impacts on the janta (Hindi) or awaam (Urdu) -- the public. They are numerous, although with the media coverage he gets, one would not think so.

While watching the 10 Ka Dum episode on July 4 (and what an entertaining episode it was!), was thinking about how Aamir, Salman, and their fans, have all grown up around each other for a while now. Surely, all of us 80's kids feel the same way. How time flies...like one of those cars in Love Story 2050 (sorry, couldn't resist ;)!

They are two of the greatest entertainers of their generation, and ever since they gave us Andaz Apna Apna (1994), we have been hoping for an encore. Glad that Aamir mentioned during the show that visitors to his blog constantly request another Aamir-Salman starrer. That would be cool, yaaron!

This post has the initial promo of the show, featuring Salman. There are some good soundtracks to review soon. Stay tuned.

I love Aamir too but he seriously needs to grow his hair back before his ears get caught in a gust of wind and he takes flight.

:-P

I liked your joke about the flying cars! Hee hee!

Thanks for pointing me towards Salman's blog. I've always been fascinated with him as a person. He seems to not take his acting or image very seriously, which I enjoy. I'm going to go right off and read what he has to say.... :D

You're very welcome, Filmi Girl. It's an interesting approach he's taken with the show and its blog.

Seen some of the episodes, and they really seem to be doing a good job of reaching out with some specific messages targeted at the youth. Salman does have a strong image of being one of the more care-free actors, but he has an amazing fan following among all demographics, and this can only do some good.

I like that he tends to shift the focus off him. And I didn't know there was such a thing as dollar cinema! :)
