Song seven of seven from the soundtrack is Jaane Tu Meri Kya Hai, the male version of the title song. With vocals by Sukhwinder Singh, it is the song that most gives away part of the plot, which is interesting. Will the end to the film be similar to that of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988)?
The focus in this song and its equivalent by a female vocalist is to portray dard (i.e. pain), and the realization of friends' love for each other coming too late. In that, both Jaane Tu Meri Kya Hai and Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai succeed (more so the latter in my opinion). Still, the lyrics to the former are masterful as well.
